John Higgins, Film and Video Director of Photography
John is a native Las Vegan who started his broadcast career in the 4th grade by creating his school’s first in-house telecast. His humorous commercials and informational broadcasts were an instant hit. He has been learning the ropes ever since, studying everything from tech theater to still photography.
John has been with Laguna since its inception in 1983, taking charge of field and studio production. He operates various cameras, including Betacam SP, HD Cam, Digital Betacam, 16mm & 35mm film.
What makes John so much more than just a cameraman is his artistic eye for capturing visually stimulating shots. His extensive knowledge of film photography has enhanced his understanding of composition, lighting and exposure. John has traveled all over the country shooting everything from live sporting events to high budget film commercials.
